The news

It’s already been 3 years since Melani joined PACO Group as a quality control inspector. Here’s what she had to say about her time with us!

A typical day in the life of a quality control specialist consists primarily of dimensional inspections for parts used to manufacture our SPIRALIFT solutions. At PACO, we’re a little spoiled: we have access to a wide range of precision measuring instruments, including our CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) that lives in our state-of-the-art temperature-controlled inspection room.

Another important part of my job is to inspect suppliers’ sites. This is an equally challenging task, as it introduces me to new environments each time I have to measure structures at different locations.

What I like most about PACO is that the employees’ voices are heard, and any skills we can bring to the table are welcome here. For example, I was asked to establish a calibration program to ensure the reliability of our precision measuring instruments, since metrology has always been a strong interest of mine.

The values that initially attracted and motivated me to come and work for PACO Group were open-mindedness and attentiveness to individual needs.
Ever since I started working at the company, I’ve found my job to be interesting. Inspecting components, having the opportunity to see the finished product, and even being able to see it in action is a huge benefit for a dimensional inspector. You also have the ability to ask the engineering department questions as needed, which is a huge plus.

Working for PACO Group makes me proud to contribute to developing products that are created here in Quebec.
